If anyone is interested in MMORPGs, check out Middle-Earth Online .
I must admit that I didn't care for the idea at first. There was just something about playing a MMORPG based on a best-selling book/movie that didn't sit well with me. However, after reading more about the game I changed my mind.
The screenshots are beautiful, absolutely beautiful. Aside from that, the best thing about the game, in my opinion, is that you can be anything from a warrior to a farmer! Yes, a farmer!
The story of the book -- and the travels of the fellowship -- can be witnessed by the players! Their passing can, and probably will, effect your homes and life within the game. I have to say that this game is very realistic in terms of cause and effect (we mustn't forget the graphics!).
The bad thing: it won't be released (for beta) until mid 2004.
